Cash for Clunkers - Program Details

In order to qualify, you must own/lease:

1995 model year or older vehicle
In running condition
- Registered for at least the last 6 consecutive months (12 months in BC)
- Properly insured for at least the last 6 consecutive months (12 months in BC)
People with 1995 or older model vehicles, who are eligible, can voluntarily retire their vehicle through the Retire Your Ride program.

Canadians who have already completed the Retire Your Ride Process

If so, we congratulate you and want to reward you for doing the environmentally responsible thing.

Starting August 24th, 2009, you can visit any Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge retailer in Canada (excluding British Columbia). The Chrysler dealer will confirm your eligibility and apply an added $500 - $1,500 in Bonus Cash towards your new 2009 or 2010 Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle, on top of all other retail incentives available at that time.* It's just that simple!

Eligible Canadians who wish to start the Retire Your Ride Process

Chrysler Canada is pleased to announce that we have launched a new "Accelerated" Process.

To enroll in the program, visit any Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram dealership in Canada
The dealer will walk you through the program, where you will select your reward. You will need to provide your name, address, email, phone number and VIN.
Once the participant's application has been approved within 24-48 hours, an accredited recycler will be contacted and the recycling process will begin.
Within 24-48 hours you can drive away in the 2009 or 2010 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge Ram vehicle of your choice and recive up to $1,500 in Cash for Clunkers Bonus Cash on top of any other Retire Your Ride awards and all other retail incentives available at the time of delivery*

*Chrysler Retire Your Ride Bonus Cash is applicable for retail deliveries of new 2009 & 2010 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge vehicles purchased from August 24th, 2009 - March 1st, 2010

^If you turn in a 1995 model year or older vehicle that is in running condition and has been registered and properly insured for the last six months (12 months in B.C.), the government will provide you with a $300 incentive as part of its Retire Your Ride program. Upon presentation of proof from the government (acceptable to Chrysler Canada) that your old vehicle qualifies for its program, Chrysler Canada will provide additional Cash for Clunkers Bonus Cash that must be applied to the purchase of a new 2009 or 2010 Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle in the amount of either $500 or $1,500, depending on the vehicle, for a total of up to $1,800 in incentives. Cash for Clunkers Bonus Cash will be applied to reduce the after-tax purchase price of your new Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle. By participating in this program you will not eligible for any trade-in value for your old vehicle.
